Unified modeling repository of the bank
For many companies, IT automation of business process allows gaining a competitive advantage in the market. In this case, the effectiveness of the methodology of changing the architectural landscape becomes critical. If the company is large, then the architecture consists of many applications, and dozens of teams are working on them. To analyse the current state qualitatively and quickly, and analyse the impact of the proposed changes on other components are not simple tasks. Even mapping of requirements to applications may be delayed due to a different understanding of the landscape structure. And discussion of a common solution turns into endless negotiations of concepts.
As one of the most effective ways to solve the above problems, I want to present the experience of implementing and using a single model repository based on Sparx EA in Russian Raiffeisenbank. All that is interesting in the world with the unified repository, where the architecture is in various interrelated layers.
